Virtual Showroom On Harley Site
IRVINE, Calif.--Custom Chrome, the worlds largest independent supplier of Harley-Davidson motorcycle accessories and parts, is developing a virtual showroom on its Internet site.
Within the virtual showroom environment, Custom Chrome customers can view realistic 3D versions of motorcycle parts and accessories such as the RevTech high performance engines, forks, fenders and special headlights.
They can zoom in and out and rotate the objects to inspect them from all angles. Once they are satisfied with the parts suitability, the user can then click on a listing of Custom Chrome dealers to find the location nearest them to make their purchase.
Custom Chrome has always listened to the wants and needs of the marketplace. Over the years, some of Custom Chromes best-selling products have been suggested by our customers and many of the parts sold today reflect the input received from them, said Joe Piazza, the companys vice president of sales and marketing.
Harley-Davidson owners are very serious about customizing their bikes to reflect their specific preferences and their individual personalities. We feel that presenting our products in 3D will significantly enhance the customers ability to visualize how the parts look, how they will look on their bike and enable them to find just the part or accessory they are looking for more easily, he explained.
(The showroom features proprietary solutions developed by realityBUY, a provider of interactive 3D for e-commerce applications.)
