AUTOVIA CEO Speaks 10/5 In San Diego

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--After a decade of transforming ALLDATA into a popular provider of diagnostic automotive repair information, Rod Georgiu launched his second company, AUTOVIA, to help automotive parts distributors and repair shops reduce their order processing costs.

Georgiu will bring his industry knowledge and expertise to this year’s eAutoWorld trade show on Thursday, Oct. 5, when he will discuss how automotive distributors and repair shops can leverage the Internet to reduce significant transaction costs in the automotive aftermarket. Georgiu will also show how AUTOVIA, a business-to-business e-commerce company that uses the Internet to automate the parts ordering process, is helping distributors dramatically cut order processing costs and labor-intensive procedures that cost companies thousands of dollars each year. Georgiu’s speaking session begins at 11:15 a.m. at the San Diego Convention Center.

eAutoWorld is devoted to exploring how the Internet and e-commerce is impacting the automotive industry, especially auto suppliers and aftermarket parts suppliers. The event brings together the automotive industry's Internet decision-makers, who discuss and learn the latest advances on key issues that effect supply chain efficiencies, collaborative design, distribution channel partnerships/conflicts, aftermarket parts and customer service.

Rod Georgiu is the founder and CEO of AUTOVIA, an first automotive parts network for the automotive industry. He also founded ALLDATA, which provides diagnostic automotive repair information.
