Champion Wipers Win European OEMs

SOUTHFIELD--Federal-Mogul Corp. has signed an agreement with PAL Praha a.s., located in Prague in the Czech Republic, to supply complete wiper systems to European automobile manufacturers.

The alliance will combine wiper arms and blades produced by Federal-Mogul’s Champion wiper products with motors and linkage systems manufactured by PAL Praha a.s. The joint effort will allow the wiper components to be sold together as a complete system.

“This strategic alliance between Federal-Mogul and PAL will provide our customers with a new complete wiper systems supplier,” said Rene Dalleur, Federal-Mogul’s vice president of Ignition/Wipers, Europe and Africa. “Our combined strengths will enable us to deliver high quality, competitively-priced wiper systems. This is a major step in the global effort to delight Federal-Mogul”s original equipment customers.”

Tomas Jindra, chief executive officer and president of PAL Praha a.s., agreed that the alliance offers the prospect of close cooperation between the two companies.

“We can now offer complete wiper systems that will satisfy the demands of the original equipment manufacturers,” said Jindra. “This agreement is an important step in allowing PAL to extend our customer base and strengthen our competitive position in the global market.”

PAL Praha a.s. is a manufacturer of wiper products for motor vehicles and small-size direct current motors for automotive and other industries.
