Production ceased and many employees were moved to other assignments at Chief Industries. History: King of the Road was a small, specialized RV manufacturer that specialized in products for the full-time RVer. Well known as a long-time producer of luxury fifth-wheel trailers, the company expanded its offerings by adding the Genesis, a luxury Class A motorhome from 2004-2007. King of the Road RVs parent company was Chief Industries, a diverse corporation that produces a wide variety of mostly transportation-related products such as rail-car accessories, trailer chassis as well as manufactured homes and steel buildings. King of the Road moved its headquarters and manufacturing facility in 2004 from Russell, Kansas to York, Nebraska, closer to its parent company and other subsidiaries. Owners Club: None |
