Volkswagen Reports 19.1% Increase for December 2004 Sales

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 4, 2005 -- Volkswagen of America, Inc. reported December 2004 sales of 21,469 vehicles, a 19.1% increase from last year's December sales of 18,030. Volkswagen recorded sales increases in five of its six model groups.

The Volkswagen brand sold 256,111 vehicles in the U.S. during 2004, compared to 302,686 for 2003.
