Acura MDX Earns Award For 'Best Family Sport-Utility Vehicle'

    TORRANCE, Calif., Feb. 7 Television's MotorWeek today
presented its 2001 Drivers' Choice Award for "Best Family Sport-Utility
Vehicle" to the all-new 2001 Acura MDX.  The announcement was made at the
Chicago Auto Show.
    The MotorWeek Drivers' Choice Awards, now in their 19th year, are designed
to select vehicles that offer the most value for the dollar.  MotorWeek
considers all types of consumers while making its choices, including buyers
with varying family sizes, budgets and style preferences.
    "The response to the new MDX has been overwhelmingly positive from both
consumers and automotive journalists," said Dick Colliver, Acura's executive
vice president.  "We are proud that so many automotive experts consider the
MDX to be the benchmark for luxury SUVs."
    The MotorWeek honors round out a grand slam of major awards for the Acura
MDX:  "North American Truck of the Year" at the 2001 North American
International Auto Show, Motor Trend "Sport/Utility of the Year," and it was
chosen as best vehicle in its class in a recent comparison test of luxury SUVs
by the editors of Car and Driver magazine.
    The Acura MDX offers exceptionally high standard performance and luxury,
including best-in-class performance and fuel economy in combination with

    The Acura MDX and Drivers' Choice honorees in other categories will be
featured on MotorWeek, the automotive television magazine, on PBS beginning
