Daewoo Sales Continue to Grow With Modest January Increase

    COMPTON, Calif., Feb. 1 Daewoo Motor America continues its
momentum in the first month of the 2001 calendar year by posting sales gains
over December 2000.
    With January retail sales of 5103 Daewoo sales were up by 11% over its
December 2000 sales of 4602 units.
    D.J. Lee, President and CEO of Daewoo Motor America stated, "As we enter
what some analysts have predicted will be a slow down in the American car
market, consumers are taking a look at Daewoo as they realize that our
combination of price, value and reliability fits their transportation needs."
    With an outstanding line-up of cars Daewoo will remain "America's Fastest
Growing Car Company."
