Pickups Plus Store Reports Record Sales for Month of December

    MASON, Ohio--Jan. 19, 2001--Pickups Plus Inc. (OTCBB:PUPS), a leading retailer and franchiser in the $30 billion truck and SUV aftermarket accessories industry, announced today that the Sharonville, Ohio location had the highest sales for the month of December in company history.
    The Sharonville, Ohio location, one of three company owned stores, reports a 10% increase over the previous record, set in 1999. "These are very exciting numbers, especially since 1999 was such a strong year and the fact the other retail sectors were reporting soft sales," says Sean Fitzgerald, Executive Vice President of Pickups Plus.
    Year to date, trucks have represented 52.6% of total North American passenger automotive production. In addition, three out of the five top selling vehicles in the U.S. are trucks or SUVs as well. Pickups Plus believes that many of these truck owners are potential customers for its stores or e-commerce site, where online shoppers can choose from tens of thousands of aftermarket automotive parts and accessories.
