NHRA: Christen Powell prepared for racing action at Reading
15 September 2000
CRISTEN POWELL, driver of the Bazemore Racing/ Matco Tools/NitroFish Camaro co mments on this weekend's event at Maple Grove Raceway, as well as how she views this current string of racing on three consecutive weekends - "Three races in a row is pretty tough, but you build up momentum, and whether you win or lose, you just want to get back out there and do it again. Normally, you have to wait so long for the next race, so it will be nice to compete in Reading this weekend. I'll just have to explain to my teachers as to why I'll be missing another day of classes. "So far Maple Grove has not been a tremendously good track for me, so it will be nice to go back there with a chance to wipe out those bad vibes. But I try not to dwell on individual tracks, preferring to look at every event as just another race where I'm able to enjoy a whole new bunch of fans. I know the Matco Tools/NitroFish team is looking forward to having four qualifying runs to work with after the unusual schedule in Englishtown. We plan to go there and get our Camaro dialed in, and improve on every single pass like we did in Indy."
