NorthernLight IRL: Aramis joins Blueprint Racing at Kentucky

SPARTA, KENTUCKY, Friday, August 25, 2000 - Blueprint Racing and leading men ’s fragrance maker Aramis, Inc. announced earlier today that the #27 Blueprint Racing G Force Oldsmobile driven by Jimmy Kite would carry the trend-setting fragrance designer’s name. Accompanying the announcement is a new black and gold paint scheme to reflect the involvement of Aramis with the Illinois-based race team. “We are extremely proud to have a company the magnitude of Aramis on board with Blueprint,” said Blueprint Racing co-owner Keith Sanders. “The Aramis name is known the world-over as a leader in men’s colognes. It is a real pleasure to be recognized by Aramis as a team that can put the Aramis name in victory lane. They have been a joy to work with and it is exciting that they have joined us here.” Aramis, Inc, a division of Estée Lauder Companies of New York, was begun in 1964 by Estée Lauder to appeal to the male marketplace. Today, Aramis is widely recogonized as the leader in men’s colognes and fragrances. Estée Lauder, itself begun in 1946, has been publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange since November of 1995 under the “EL” ticker-symbol. Estée Lauder enjoys net sales of over $4 billion. Currently Aramis products are sold across the United States and in over 100 countries around the globe. “I’m excited having Aramis on board. I think this is great,” enthused Kite about the new Aramis support. “Aramis is a sponsor someone my age dreams of getting invovled with. I’ve always run well in black cars in the past and so I hope we can continue that with Aramis.” Aramis’ product line includes; Aramis, Aramis 900, Aramis Gold, New West, Tuscany Per Uomo, Devin, JHL, Havana, Kiton Men and Kiton Donna- both enjoy exclusive US-marketing rights with the famous Italian designer, Kiton. Aramis also offers a line of “high performance” skin care products known as the “Lab Series for Men.” The #27 Aramis/ Blueprint Racing Special driven by Jimmy Kite will make its first on-track appearance in practice today for the Belterra Resorts Indy 300. Qualifying for the inaugural Northern Light Series’ event at Kentucky Speedway is scheduled for August 26th with the race set to take the green-flag at 2:30 PM (EST) on Sunday, August 27th.
