FMDRS-Mission Raceway Park, Mission, B.C.--Rain Delay

6 May 2000

RAIN DELAYS BEGINNING OF LORDCO B.C. NATIONALS AT MISSION RACEWAY PARK

MISSION, B.C.- Rain got the best of the quickest dragstrip in Canada this
morning to delay the beginning of Friday qualifying at the Lordco B.C.
Nationals at Mission Raceway Park. Rain has been off and on since 8 a.m.
and has not stopped long enough to begin drying the track.

According to weather sources, the rain should be concluding soon
and the drying of the track will commence followed by the full schedule of
exciting NHRA Federal-Mogul Drag Racing.

"If the rain stops soon we can get the track dry pretty quick and
fit in a full schedule of racing," said NHRA Northwest Division Director,
Chris Blair.
