Active International Enters the World of Motorsports with O\ZON Racing Group Sponsorship
PEARL RIVER, N.Y.--April 19, 2000--for Indy Racing Northern Light Series Vegas 300
Active International today announced its logo will be emblazoned on the helmet of Indy Racing League driver, Jaques Lazier, as its first venture into the world of motorsports sponsorship. Lazier will be driving the O\ZON Racing Group car at the April 22, 2000 Indy Racing Northern Light Series Vegas 300 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This event will attract some 75,000 racing fans from all over the world and will be broadcast at 3:30 EST on ABC.
Motorsports is the number one worldwide spectator sport, and Active International is the first corporate trading company to participate in motorsports marketing both as a sponsor and by offering sponsorship programs to its corporate trading clients. Under the terms of its agreement with O\ZON Racing Group, Active's clients can use their trade credits towards racing sponsorship packages. These opportunities are varied and unique, customized to the needs of Active's client and the racing team or driver. Examples of sponsorships include, but are not limited to, team ownership, a racing season, single races, product endorsements, driver appearances, vehicle advertising, and driver outfit advertising.
Fredrick Fuest, COO of Active International, commented, "This is such an exciting new venture for Active and our clients. Motorsports portrays the velocity and excitement that corporate trading programs can bring to our clients, who represent some of the most widely recognized brands in the world. Active's sponsorship of Jaques Lazier's car at the Vegas 300 is our endorsement that we believe in the power and appeal of motorsports marketing."
Don Culver, President of O\ZON Racing Group, adds, "We work closely with each individual sponsor to match the corporate profile to the appropriate racing team we represent within Indy Racing League, NASCAR, CART and Powerboat. Our partnership with Active will enable their clients to participate in very prominent events at the race tracks, as well as in off-track promotions with driver and car appearances at meetings and shows." Lazier, one of racing's up and coming stars, will be driving car no.33.
