Quad Boenker Wins Another Formula Mazda Series Race

Fort Worth, Texas: Quad Boenker, lead driver for Al Boenker Racing placed
1st again this Sunday at the newly built Motorsport Ranch. The Southwest
Formula Mazda Series event puts Quad one step closer to repeating his 1999
Mazda Championship, and makes him the current points leader.

The day did offer its challenges, however. “We didn’t know if the tires were
going to hold out,” said Quad Boenker.  “We had a bad set of tires for
qualifying and had to opt for an old set for the race.  The tires held out
and we were pleased to dominate the race.”

Boenker racing has a new addition to the team for 2000.  Chief Engineer Rich
Thorner from Phoenix, Arizona has brought his skills to Boenker Racing.

“Rich has already been an asset to the team.  Not only is he a great
engineer, but he’s also a great driving coach,” said Boenker.

Quad Boenker has a two week rest before the Annual Sunburn National.
