2000 Season F-Chevrolet

F-Chevrolet will be the main series for the drivers that are coming from
karts in 2000, as the former F-Petrobrás (raced with 1994 F-Ford
chassis) was extinguished and F-Chevrolet will be the only national
series for the young drivers.

In the class B the favorite will be Danilo Dirani, selected by Petrobrás
as the best kart driver in 1999 and he will be sponsored by the big
brazilian oil company.

In the class A will be many good drivers and one of the favorites will
be Marcelo Monteiro, reigning Class B champion, that was talking to his
team RP Motorsport to sign for 2000.

"There is nothing confirmed, but I am talking to RP Motorsport. On the
other side I am taking a look at other options, in other racing series
and I will have an answer at the end of the month" said Marcelo
Monteiro.

F-Chevrolet is similar to the US Barber Dodge but with less power and
the car is lighter.
