NHRA: Band Livens Up Team Winston Pit Stop at Texas

12 October 1999

Ennis, TX (October 12, 1999) --- Live music from the Dean Hall Band will be
added to the exhilarating NHRA Winston Drag Racing action at the Texas
Motorplex, during the 14th annual NHRA O'Reilly Fall Nationals presented by
Castrol Syntec, October 21-24, 1999. This will be a test program for NHRA
Winston national events with the possibility of more bands being added to
NHRA events in 2000.

" We have had a number of conversations with the NHRA and Winston about
added more elements to our national events that will give our fans even more
value for their money. When you add in one or two sessions of live music at
the Winston Pit Stop to full day of NHRA Winston Drag Racing action you get
a great combination of entertainment. Our goal is to get people pumped up
with exciting racing action from the pro classes and then let our fans hear
great music between qualifying sessions," said Ryan Haas, Texas Motorplex
general manager.

The Dean Hall Band will perform in the Winston Pit Stop located in the pit
area, Friday, October 22 through Sunday October 24. On Friday and Saturday
the band will play immediately after each of the Nitro Qualifying sessions.
On Sunday the band will play immediately after each round of pro
eliminations. There will be no additional charge to see and hear the band
once fans are in the pit area.

Tickets for the 14th annual NHRA O'Reilly Fall Nationals presented by
Castrol Syntec can be purchased at TicketMaster or through the Texas
Motorplex box office at 1-800-MOTORPLEX.
