                   Grand Prairie Residents Impressed, Excited

Ennis, TX (May 30, 1999) --- Thousands of Grand Prairie residents braved
intermittent showers and enjoyed two days of NHRA Federal-Mogul Drag Racing
excitement at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis. The Texas Motorplex invited
50,000 Grand Prairie residents to come down to the NHRA sanctioned drag
racing facility to get a first hand look at its operations. The promotion
was initiated in preparation for a possible November election to partially
fund a new $74 million drag racing/concert facility on I-30 just east of
MacArthur Road in Grand Prairie.

" Our goal was to get as many Grand Prairie residents to the Texas Motorplex
this weekend as possible so they could see a clean, exciting, family
oriented event. These are the kinds of events we will host in Grand Prairie.
Overall I would call this weekend a huge success based on the level of
ticket redemption and the feedback we have received from the Grand Prairie
residents who took advantage of our offer," said Texas Motorplex owner Billy
Meyer.

One Grand Prairie resident summed up the general consensus of the fans that
came down to the Texas Motorplex over this weekend. Ernie Garcia, of Grand
Prairie, was enjoying the races on Saturday with his wife Ticia.

"I'm all for it. I've been here (Texas Motorplex) before and I think it will
be a lot more convenient in Grand Prairie. Mainly, I think a lot more people
will go because it is right between Dallas and Ft. Worth. As far as the
impact for Grand Prairie, it will definitely be good for new businesses.
With a track like this there will be new restaurants, gas stations, and
stores, which will mean more jobs and more things to do in Grand Prairie,"
said Ernie Garcia, of Grand Prairie.
