INDIANAPOLIS -- Racing engine manufacturer
Snyder
Enterprise of Danville, Indiana, today announced a new incentive program
aimed at United States Auto Club teams. The contingency award program
will
feature an estimated $47,000 in posted prize money for the 2001 USAC
season, divided among participants in the Stoops Freightliner National
Sprint Car Series and the MCI WorldCom National Midget Car Series.
The structure of the program calls for eligible teams to receive a $1,000 cash bonus for a USAC national sprint car victory, and a $500 cash bonus for a USAC national midget car victory. Eligibility requirements will include the use and registration of a newly purchased or leased Snyder Enterprise engine, but the company also plans to offer incentives for teams with rebuilt or older models of Snyder engines.
USAC's 2001 racing schedule is expected by January 5, but will likely include about 35 sprint and 25 midget events.
Teams wanting more information, including specifications for eligible engines, are encouraged to call Snyder Enterprise at (317) 718-0902. Snyder Enterprise is also hosting an open house for racing teams on Saturday, December 16, from 6 - 11 p.m. Teams should RSVP by December 9 at the same telephone number.
