ENNIS, Texas - Persistent rains on Saturday and an
unfavorable weather
forecast for the remainder of the weekend forced NHRA officials to
postpone
the 15th annual O'Reilly Fall Nationals presented by Castrol Syntec at the
Texas Motorplex. Friday's racing also was cancelled due to rain.
The $1.9 million NHRA Winston Drag Racing Series event has been rescheduled for Nov. 3-4. Pro teams will receive three qualifying attempts on Nov. 3, the first at 10 a.m., then followed by sessions at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Eliminations will start at 11 a.m. on Nov. 4.
Tickets purchased for this weekend's qualifying will be honored on Nov. 3.
The next event on the NHRA tour is the fourth annual Matco Tools SuperNationals presented by Racing Champions, Oct. 26-29, at Houston Raceway Park.
