The 19th Annual Colonel's Truck Accessories NHRA Nationals is the 16th
spot
on the NHRA Winston Drag Racing Series tour. There are eight remaining
races
and one rain delayed event left on the schedule.
Jeg Coughlin, Jr. continues to lead the NHRA Pro Stock field. He has 1195 points and is 242 points ahead of his closest competitor. Although Jeg has a substantial lead the 30-year-old driver intends to treat each remaining race on the schedule like it is the first race of the season.
"Pro Stock is so competitive you have to give it 100% all the time. The decisions that you make preparing for a race, everything you do at the track and every run you make throughout the weekend all effect the outcome," said Jeg. "You don't have any other choice then to give everything 100%!"
Troy Coughlin is resting in the No. 5 position in the NHRA Winston Championship. He has 772 points and is 121 points away from reclaiming the No. 4 spot. Troy knows that the time to make a move is now.
"Our program has really excelled at the high altitude tracks," explained Troy. "We know what we have to do in the next two races to move up in the points. We have a great team and everyone is up the challenge."
