BLOOMINGTON, IN--The May 5 Bloomington Speedway program
fell victim to the weatherman. As usual, Mike Miles worked all week to
provide the best possible race track for the racers and fans at
Bloomington Speedway. However, before track preparation was completed, the
skies opened up and dumped enough water to prepare an oval the size of
I-465. Unfortunately, the rain didnt land on 465. It landed on the red
clay at Bloomington Speedway; and it was way too much to allow competition
this evening.
The opening of Bloomington Speedway is now postponed until May 12 when we will have an all stock car program. The bombers will join the open wheel modifieds and Indiana Super Stocks in entertaining the Bloomington Speedway fans. All three classes are expected to draw a lot of cars.
