Fan Club members will get a discount on their admission to Bloomington
Speedway at their season opener on Friday, May 5.
Bloomington Speedway is putting its best foot forward for their opening show. Appropriately, the opening program will feature the cars that will race there most of the season. Non winged sprint cars, UMP open wheel modifieds, and super stocks will all be in competition. The racing plant, as always, will be well prepared; and the cars should be able to get a good grip on the famous red clay racing surface.
Defending champions Derek Scheffel (Pennzoil Cup Non Winged Sprint Cars), Ray Humphrey (ONeal Wood Products UMP modifieds), and Lee Hobbs (Tire and Wheel Center Indiana Super Stocks) plan to be in attendance to defend their championship when the season takes the green flag on May 5.
Pit gates will open at 4:30 PM, the grandstand gates will open at 5:30 PM, hot laps will start at 6:30 PM, and racing will begin at 7:30 PM. General admission is $10 for this event; and pit admission is $20. Overnight camping is permitted.
