Virginia Motorsports Park has been the site of some quick times for the
"factory hot rods" in the past. When the cool air combines with sea-level
like conditions the 500 cid engines create more horsepower and set the
stage
for some quick times.
The Pro Stock class was limited to one qualifying session due to rain. Troy ended up in the No. 5 position and Jeg landed in the No. 7 spot. Troy ran a 6.906 at 198.47 Mph. Jeg ran a slower 6.913 at 199.17 Mph.
"I always like coming back to the trailer after making a good first run," said Troy. "Now we can focus on improving from here."
"My car moved around a lot in the first half of the track and that really hurt my time," commented Jeg. "I am looking forward to improving tomorrow and getting closer to the top of the qualifying order."
