BLOOMINGTON, IN--An open practice session is scheduled
for April 28 for all classes scheduled to compete at Bloomington Speedway
during the 2000 racing season. Hot laps will begin at 6:30 PM.
Bloomington Speedway is widely accepted as the finest quarter mile dirt oval in the Midwest; and promoter Mike Miles works the track all week to insure that it is also the best prepared. In keeping with this commitment to excellence, Miles intends to do all he can to help insure that the cars are as ready for competition as is his oval. A part of this effort is this open practice session. Race teams can test their equipment and let the drivers work out all of the cobwebs that may have accumulated during the off season. Most of the teams simply can't afford to rent a track to do this. This practice session accomplishes the same thing for only the cost of a $10 pit pass.
The fans benefit from this program too. They are welcome to attend this open practice free of charge.
Miles commented, "We want to be sure that everybody is ready to race; and well see that everyone gets plenty of laps."
