USAC: MCI Worldcom TQ Midgets switch from Perris to Bakersfield

MARCH 11 BAKERFSIELD PROGRAM NOW A "DOUBLEHEADER"

The MCI WorldCom USAC TQ Midget Car Series has switched its March 11 date from the Perris (CA) Auto Speedway to the Bakersfield (CA) Speedway, creating a "doubleheader" program with the MCI WorldCom Western Midget Cars on the 1/3-mile dirt Bakersfield oval.

The event kicks off the 2000 TQ Midget Car campaign, while the Midgets opened their 2000 Western series with the "Copper World Classic" at Phoenix, Ariz. February 6, a race won by Tony Stewart.
