Troy Improves Time And Lands In The #4 Position

The engines in the "factory hot rods" like it when the air is cool and there is constant cloud cover. The conditions that the Pro Stock class had today was exactly that.

Jeg Coughlin, Jr. began the second day of qualifying resting in the #3 spot and had his eye on improving. The AutoZone Winternationals defending Pro Stock Champion wants nothing more than to walk away with a win under his belt.

Jeg commented, "The run felt really good going down track. I was in the left lane, which seems to be a little better right now." Jeg Coughlin, Jr's yellow and black JEG'S Mail Order Olds Cutlass moved up one position and landed in the #2 spot after the second day of qualifying.

Coughlin added, "We really seem to have a strong handle on the setup of the car right now. The car and the track are both responding well to eachother. I am really looking forward to raceday."

Troy Coughlin started the second qualifying session as the man to beat. Troy said, "We improved our qualifying time and gained more data on the track, which is what qualifying is all about. We continue to run strong as a team."

Troy slipped to the #4 spot and will have two additional qualifying sessions tomorrow until the field of sixteen is set. Troy added, "Tomorrow should be very interesting. Everyone has been down both lanes and the weather is expected to get better, so we should continue to see improvements."
