WHAT: NHRA Winston Drag Racing pre-season testing. Catch a glimpse of
the
new millennium of speed as NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Car teams make
preparations for the 2000 NHRA Winston Drag Racing Series season.
Teams will be testing with the new rules set by the NHRA following the 1999 season, limiting the percentage of nitromethane in the fuel mixture.
WHEN: January 21-23, 2000

WHO: Top NHRA drivers are scheduled to participate in the PRO sanctioned testing session. Among teams/drivers confirmed include: Defending NHRA Winston Top Fuel champion Tony Schumacher; nine-time Funny Car champion John Force; two-time Winston Top Fuel champ Gary Scelzi; and Bruce Sarver, driver of Alan Johnson's new Funny Car entry. WWF Racing Funny Car drivers Jerry Toliver and Jim Epler will also be on hand, among many others.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Drivers, crew chiefs and team owners will be available for interviews to discuss the new season.
