The Auto Channel & Kart Marketing Group Present Internet TV Coverage of the Worlds Largest Go Kart Exposition
AUTO CENTRAL:--NASCAR, Formula 1, Indycars, Sprint & Midget car racing: all enormously popular forms and venues of motor sports to be sure. But whats the most popular motor sport activity in the world? GO KARTING!
Thats right, racing go karts: The fantasy of every young man (and some young women) for generations; the training ground for many of todays top professional drivers; and one of the few racing competitions that anyone can economically participate in. However, go kart racing isnt just for kids and beginners, today's racing karts are highly sophisticated machines capable of reaching speeds up to 150 MPH.
Now, for the first time, this incredibly exciting world will burst LIVE onto the computer screens of Internet users around the globe when The Auto Channel Internetwork broadcasts exclusive coverage of KART EXPO 99, the largest gathering of Kart racing manufacturers, distributors, dealers, consumers, and competitors under one roof. KART EXPO '99 takes place on Saturday and Sunday, December 4th & 5th, at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington, Kentucky USA (Suburban Cincinnati area).
The Auto Channels broadcasts will allow Internet users and karting enthusiasts to see the best and the latest products and services that the industry has to offer. In all, TACH will present 9 live half-hour programs over the two days that feature interviews with representatives from the top manufacturers, kart racing celebrities, and association officials. The exhibitor list includes Briggs & Stratton, Reb-co Racing, SuperKarts USA, Margay Racing Products, American Honda Motorsports, Skip Barber Racing School, and World Karting Association. The shows will then be archived for continuous on-demand access.
Another live broadcast feature will be "Go Kart Trivia Challenge", a variation of TACHs highly successful TV-style game show that pits 2 contestants against each other in an effort to win a bag-full of valuable prizes. Contestants will be selected from the audience attending the exposition. The game shows will also be broadcast live over the Internet and archived for continuous access. Ten episodes are planned for the 2 days.
All broadcasts will be staged at The Auto Channel studio exhibit, booth #135. A complete list of show times and the interview schedule will be listed directly at http://www.theautochannel.com/cybercast/ktexpo99/index.html.
Live coverage of this event is presented in association with the expositions producer, Kart Marketing Group, Inc., who is also the leading publisher of go kart industry magazines and buyers' guides. Additional information about Kart Marketing Group can be found at http://www.kartmarketinggroup.com.
TACH is the Internets most complete and comprehensive automotive information resource, covering 18 subject categories; with more than 200,000 screen pages of information; 16 searchable databases and price guides; and thousands of TV-on-the-Net streaming video programs. The Auto Channel is the only Internet entity to regularly broadcast live video coverage of motor sports events. TACH expects to add several kart racing events to its program schedule in the year 2000.
