Today marked the first day of qualifying for the Pro Stock cars and the second day for the Pro Stock Truck class.

Rain took over the sky's above the Memphis Motorsports Park facility. What started off as a light mist increased to a down pour as the late afternoon hour approached.

The JEG'S Pro Stock Truck program has had two qualifying sessions. Mike Coughlin currently is holding down the number three spot. However, John sits in the number twenty-one position on the outside looking in.

The JEG'S Pro Stock cars were getting ready to pull into the lanes when the rain came back. Neither Jeg or Troy Coughlin have made a run since coming to the NHRA Auto Zone Nationals in their JEG'S Mail Order cars.

The radar screen the JEG'S trailer shows that the rain is here to stay for the next 24-48 hours. With all professional classes having yet to make a minimum of two qualifying attempts, it looks like the NHRA teams will return to the Memphis Motorsports Park tomorrow and try it again.

There will be three Pro sessions 12:00, 4:00 & 7:00, weather permiting.
