USAC Announces New Pennzoil 'Pacesetter Award'

Pennzoil has announced a brand-new "Pacesetter Award" for USAC participants in 1999 which will offer cash prizes and Pennzoil Jackets to the respective series point leaders.

Competitors in the Coors Light Silver Bullet Series, Stoops Freightliner Sprint Car Series, MCI WorldCom National, "Western States" and TQ Midget Car Series and the "Western States" Sprint Car Series will be eligible for the bonuses, at mid-season.

A cash bonus of $750 and a Pennzoil Jacket will be presented to the leading driver member and owner member in each USAC series point standings as of August 6.

To be eligible for the awards, owner/entrants must display the Pennzoil decals on both sides of their race car and drivers must wear the Pennzoil patch on their uniforms.
