ARCA: Auto Value Parts Stores Becomes ARCA Midget Series' Title Sponsor
25 February 1999
The Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) and Auto Value Parts Stores have reached an agreement which will see the parts store chain become the official title sponsor of the ARCA Midget Series. The touring open wheel division will be officially recognized as the ARCA Auto Value Midget Series."We are proud to welcome Auto Values increased participation in ARCA sanctioned racing events," said ARCA President Ron Drager, who was joined in the announcement by Marketing Director Jim Clarke and Operations Director Terry Oliger. "We have had a great working relationship with Auto Value in the past, and the market area represented by this sponsorship fits perfectly with the traditional regional strength of our series. Expanding our relationship with Auto Value is very much in the spirit of our goal of developing long term relationships with ARCA sponsors."
Auto Value Parts Stores has, since 1995, sponsored the halfway leader award in ARCA Bondo/Mar-Hyde Series events and is also the title sponsor of the ARCA Figure-8 Series.
"It just makes good sense to further align Auto Value Parts Stores with ARCA," said Auto Value regional director Gordon Hubbard, who was joined in the announcement by Auto Value motorsports director Dan Scheuerlein. "Our store owners and operators have continually voiced their support of motorsports-based promotions, and ARCAs longevity and strong reputation in the industry is well documented. The ARCA Auto Value Midget Series schedule perfectly targets our marketing area, and its the best way for us to continue to promote and market Auto Value Parts Stores."
The 1999 ARCA Auto Value Midget Series will kick off with an indoor event on Saturday, April 10 at the Michigan State Fair Coliseum in Detroit.
