February 23, 2015: After finding and photographing the Mercedes Gullwing in Cuba last summer, I recently made another great find, a car that I was searching for, for many years. I have photographed many italian classic concept cars in the past and knew this one was out there, somewhere.

This incredible 1960 Abarth Monoposto Record Car has been hidden in a private garage for many years.
It is the first Italian car which broke an absolute mondial speed record. This car, the body of which has been designed and built by Pininfarina, is the 1000 Fiat Abarth which has broken the following records:

I was fortunate enough to be admitted into the collector's private garage to photograph this beauty with aerodinamic lines, in the dark. Everything is original, the car didn't race since its glory days, you can even notice the original stickers from the 60's...
Enjoy, Piotr Degler
