Special Motorsports Event - Daly Close To 2013 Deal In Formula Renault

Indianapolis, Dec. 26, 2012: Conor Daly's 2013 program is gelling over the holiday, and reports suggest that a deal in Formulia Renault is close to being completed for 2013.

"Life is good. We've suddenly gotten things going."

A deal won't be made public until a contract package is completed, but Daly said a sponsorship package for what's now referred to as Formula Renault 3.5 is nearly done.

According to Daly nearly three-quarters of the 26-car Formula Renault field are capable of winning one or more events so the competition will be fierce.

Although his career goal is currently focused on an F-1 ride, he said that his recent IndyCar test with A.J. Foyt Racing was promising.

"If there's a seat in IndyCar for 2014, that would be really cool," he said. "Or, if things go really well in Europe next season and an F-1 team wants to help me, that would be good, too.

"So, we have options."
