Delhi, Oct. 26, 2012: American Conor Daly qualifed second fastest this morning at the Buddh International Circuit where the newly launched MRF Challenge will run this weekend in support of the Indian Grand Prix. It will be a double header weekend for the Dallara-Renault powered cars with race one taking place on Saturday morning just after Formula One free practice three. Race two will be on Sunday morning before the 2nd running of the Indian Grand prix.

After arriving in Delhi at midnight on Thursday, Daly managed just five hours of sleep before his crew call to make a custom seat for a race car that he had never seen before.

"The last time I attempted a travel schedule like this was Long Beach 2011 when I won the Indy Lights race having missed a lot of sleep and the first days running," said Daly. "The car was very tricky during qualifying but I was pleased to squeeze a reasonable speed from it. This is a fantastic circuit and there is no better way to learn it than full race conditions. However I intend to get a good nights sleep first."
