Eighth Concours d'Elegance of Southwest Michigan This Weekend

The cliff-side park overlooking Lake Michigan in downtown St. Joe, Michigan will be the scene this Saturday (August 4th) of an invitational classic and collector car show - the eighth annual Concours d'Elegance of Southwest Michigan (formerly knows as the Krasl Art Center Concours d'Elegance).

Among other features this year will be a restored GM Futureliner from the early 1950 as part of the Parade of Progress. Only four of the original twelve Futureliners survive. The show is also featuring cars built in Indiana like Studebaker, Hudson, Auburn, Cord, Deusenberg and others. Even some Chevrolets, Mustangs and Corvettes are Indiana-built.

The show starts at 10 AM with Pass-In-Reviews beginning at noon. All 80 cars will pass being introduced and narrated by famous concours MC and collector car expert, Ed Lucas who also MC's Pebble Beach and Amelia Island, the two most prestigious shows in the U.S. Best of Show and People's Choice award will be presented at the end of the show. Admission charge is only $5 per person or $10 for the whole family.

Instead of the traditional featured designer, this years show honors Dennis and Terri Horvath, well-known experts and co-authors of the definitive book, Indiana Cars: A History of the Automobile In Indiana.
