London, Jul. 12, 2012: Highly-regarded American driver Conor Daly will join Double R Racing for the RTL GP Masters of Formula 3 event at Zandvoort in The Netherlands this weekend, July 14th & 15th, where he will partner with team regular, Geoff Uhrhane for Europe's blue riband F3 race meeting.

Daly, the 20-year-old son of former FIA Formula One World Championship and Indycar racer Derek, is currently sixth overall in the GP3 Series driver standings with one win to his credit from the second round of the season at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain.

This weekend's outing in one of Double R's Dallara-Mercedes cars will mark the American's maiden run in Formula 3 and will come straight off the back of his second data aero-mapping test with the Sahara Force India F1 Team which is taking place at Duxford Aerodrome today, Thursday, July 12th.

"Conor's a great name to have out there in the Masters this weekend and we're absolutely delighted to be running him alongside Geoff," said Double R Racing team principal Anthony 'Boyo' Hieatt. "It's going to be great working with Conor, we've known about him a long time and almost did a deal a couple of years ago."

"From his F1 test with Force India today, he'll be heading down to us at Woking and then we drive straight across to Zandvoort ready for the practice there tomorrow. Hopefully we'll all have a good weekend. We're sure Conor's going to do a great job."

Two practice sessions at Zandvoort are scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, July 13th, with qualifying taking place on Saturday, July 14th, at 11:45 (5:45AM EDT) and 15:40 (9:40AM EDT). On Sunday, July 15th, the RTL GP Masters of Formula 3 race itself will get underway at 14:00 (8:00AM EDT).

About Double R

Anthony 'Boyo' Hieatt, Kimi Räikkönen and the Finn's manager Steve Robertson together founded the Räikkönen Robertson Racing team in late 2004 to compete in the British Formula 3 International Series the following year. Based in Woking, Surrey, the squad quickly enjoyed success and became a front-running force with British driver Dan Clarke taking the team's maiden victory. Switching from Mugen-Honda engines to Mercedes HWA power for the 2006 season, the team expanded to three cars. In only its second season of British F3, Räikkönen Robertson won the prestigious championship with Mike Conway, who took 14 race victories, and the partnership also went on to take a maiden win in the 2006 Macau F3 Grand Prix - the first British success there since 1999. Hieatt became majority shareholder of the rebranded Double R Racing team at the beginning of 2011 and agreed a new engine deal with Mercedes.
