MOORESVILLE, June 19, 2012: Accomplished road racer Ron Fellows will return to the seat he’s occupied for the last four years in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, as JR Motorsports announced today he will compete in all three road-course races this season in the No. 5 Chevrolet. Those races include Road America (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) on June 23, Watkins Glen International (Watkins Glen, N.Y.) on Aug. 11, and Circuit Gilles Villeneuve (Montreal, Quebec, Canada) on Aug. 18.

Fellows is a former winner for JR Motorsports, prevailing victorious in JRM’s No. 5 Chevrolet on Aug. 2, 2008, at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal. In his career he has four Nationwide Series wins, three of which were collected at Watkins Glen.

“I have competed in a lot of races with JR Motorsports, and it’s been great fun,” Fellows said. “They have an amazing group of people, and we've been competitive at almost all of the races. That's what brings me back and keeps me young. My relationship with Dale Jr. began more than 10 years ago, and I'm proud to have driven for both him and his father.”

Fellows will race at Road America with sponsorship from AER Manufacturing, as he looks to improve on a runner-up finish in last year’s event. AER, a world leader in engine remanufacturing for the past 60 years, has supported Fellows in the Trans Am Series, NASCAR and the American Le Mans Series since 1990.

Canadian Tire, the largest automotive retailer in Canada with more than 480 stores, will sponsor Fellows at Watkins Glen and Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Both companies are returning for their third year of partnership with JR Motorsports.

“This is Ron’s fifth year driving for JR Motorsports, and each year we are excited to welcome him back,” said JR Motorsports general manager, Kelley Earnhardt Miller. “He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the road courses, and he makes us an instant contender before we ever unload the car. Watching Ron Fellows negotiate a road course is one of the pure joys of racing.”
