Special Motorsports Event - Fry To Join MIA Executive Committee

London, Apr. 11, 2012: "Motorsport is an industry of which our country should be proud," says Nick Fry.

The Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) confirmed today that Nick Fry, CEO of the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, is to join their Executive Committee from April 2012.

Nick's business acumen, gained from the automotive and motorsport industries over three decades, will complement the knowledge and experience of other well-known members of the Committee. Nick was recently appointed a UKTI Business Ambassador by the Prime Minister, and this well-earned and influential appointment will help the motorsport industry, and MIA members, to facilitate access throughout government.

Nick Fry said: "I am delighted to join the MIA's Executive Committee, and to be able to play a role in showcasing the remarkable contribution which the motorsport industry makes to Great Britain. The breadth of application of our high performance technology spreads well beyond motorsport into everyday life.
