Motorsports Venues - NASCAR Drivers To Set Pace For Fans At Coca-Cola Family Track Walk

Atlanta, Aug. 3, 2011: Imagine being on the track, lined up alongside some of the top drivers in NASCAR. As the green flag waves, you accelerate down the frontstretch before heading into Turn 1. Seems far-fetched, right? Maybe not, if you’re traveling at four miles per hour.
On August 21 at Michigan International Speedway, Greg Biffle, Jamie McMurray and Joey Logano will turn laps at a much slower pace than usual, as they hit the racetrack on foot alongside fans for the Coca-Cola Family Track Walk.
The event is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. near the entrance to pit road with the actual walk talking place at approximately 9:25 a.m. The event is free to all race fans with a Pure Michigan 400 race ticket or infield wristband. Fans can enter the track from the grandstands through gates 24 and 31. Infield guests must enter in turn 4 near the entrance to pit road. Information on the event can be found at www.MISpeedway.com/cokewalk.
Throughout the 2011 season, Coca-Cola has given more than 12,000 fans the opportunity to experience a NASCAR race weekend from an amazing vantage point – on the track itself.
