INDIANAPOLIS, July 20, 2011: Safety-Kleen, a leading provider of environmental services, oil re-refining and responsible cleaning solutions, will serve as presenting sponsor for the third annual International Motorsports Industry Show (IMIS) Safety &Technical Conference Dec. 7-8, 2011 at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis.
The IMIS Safety & Technical Conference presented by Safety-Kleen has become a cornerstone event for IMIS and will kick off the three-day trade show featuring seminars, conferences and more than 650 exhibitors showcasing the latest and greatest in racing parts and technology.
IMIS was founded in 2009 by Chris Paulsen, owner of C&R Racing, Tom Weisenbach, executive director of the Indiana Motorsports Association (IMA), Jeff Stoops, president of Stoops Freightliner, and two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart.
“Safety-Kleen has a long heritage in motorsports,” Paulsen said. “It’s a tremendous fit for Safety-Kleen to sponsor the third annual IMIS Safety & Technical Conference. Safety-Kleen is the Official Trackside Environmental Service Provider for NASCAR, INDYCAR and the NHRA. For years, the company has collected and recycled used motor oil, filters and brake and transmission fluids in full compliance with the toughest environmental regulations, and helped make automobile racing “green,” long before “green” initiatives became expected.
