ANDERSON, May 16, 2011: Phil Giebler Racing’s Joe Ruch won the Stock Moto feature Saturday in the 17th Anderson Mayor’s Cup Go Kart Grand Prix at a temporary track built on the Mounds Mall parking lot.

It was the first event for Ruch, a 20-year-old from Franklin, Ind., with Giebler’s team. He drove a FA Kart powered by a 125cc engine.

“Joe Ruch has had some good finishes all year with a few podiums at New Castle (Ind.) Motorsport Park,” Giebler said. “He broke through Saturday on the street circuit at Anderson. I am sure it’s the first of many victories for Joe this year.”

Phil Giebler Racing, owned by the 2007 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year, is based in Orange, Calif., and competes in karting events coast-to-coast in the USA.
