Alton, May 15, 2011: The #33 Kinetic Motorsports BMW M3 E92 of Jade Buford and Bryan Sellers had their best finish of the season this weekend at the Bosch Engineering 200 at Virginia International Raceway. The duo drove their BMW to sixth place in the Grand Sport (GS) class of the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge on Saturday at VIR.

Jade Buford qualified the car eighth on Friday afternoon and had a great run in the car during the race until he had minor contact with another car in the field. He gave the car to Bryan Sellers who continued moving forward. With a little over an hour to go, the BMW went in for a pit stop, and one of the crew members got hit by another car during the stop. This incident set the team back a few spots. Additionally some minor contact with another car while Sellers was driving also caused a setback, but he managed to move the car up to finish in sixth position, the best of the season to date for the #33 BMW M3 E92.

Russell Smith, owner, Kinetic Motorsports “We finally got the monkey off of our back with the BMW and had a great finish. The car handled well and it was a really good run. The team worked well and I’m very proud of all of them and very pleased. We plan to continue to improve and are looking forward to moving on to Lime Rock.”

Jade Buford, driver #33 Kinetic Motorsports BMW M3 E92: “It was a good race. Everyone did a great job. We had one minor technical problem in the pits and lost a few spots but Bryan did a great job in the car and so did everyone else. It was a fun weekend and I think we’re just going to continue to improve.”

Bryan Sellers, driver #33 Kinetic Motorsports BMW M3 E92: “It was a really good weekend for the #33 car. We had some problems during a pit stop. Unfortunately one of our crew members got hit in the pits, but he was okay. It took a lot of time off because he had to recover, get up off the ground, grab a tire, and it took us a little bit of time but, fortunately, he was alright. We finished sixth and we made some good gains. Now it’s just a matter of having a little bit of luck and having everything fall into place.”
