Chad Hackenbracht Heading To Too Tough To Tame With Warriors

CONCORD, March 7, 2011: ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards driver Chad Hackenbracht may not be competing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCTWS) event at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway, but the New Philadelphia, Ohio native will pry himself away from his video games to meet and greet 50 plus Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) guests at the track nicknamed “Too Tough To Tame.”

Hackenbracht will provide garage tours to the Wounded Warrior Project alumni and their family members from North Carolina and South Carolina. Hackenbracht will be joined by Ron Hornaday Jr., Nelson Piquet and Elliott Sadler from the Kevin Harvick Incorporated (KHI) stable.

“It feels good to give back,” said Hackenbracht, who intends to run the full ARCA Racing Series schedule with his family-owned CGH Motorsports team. “When I was asked to participate with the Wounded Warrior Project, it wasn’t a hard decision. These are the real heroes of the United States. It’s because of people like them that I am able to race on a weekly basis.”

Hackenbracht has never competed at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway, but the 19-year old driver is one day dreaming of competing on one of the most notorious race tracks on the NASCAR tour.

“To be at a place with such rich history like Darlington is neat,” added Hackenbracht, who pilots the No. 58 Tastee Apple Chevrolet Impala SS in ARCA competition. “It’s a unique track. It really is an egg-shaped place. Hopefully, I’ll be sitting here two or so years from now and instead of giving tours and facts about the track, I’ll actually be telling everyone what it is like to race at this place.”

The garage tour with the Wounded Warrior Project is supported by Armour Vienna Sausage, Darlington Speedway, Wounded Warrior Project, Sitrin Healthcare Network and American Marketing Group as well as Kevin Harvick Incorporated (KHI).

CGH Motorsports is hoping to run the full ARCA Racing Series schedule with Hackenbracht the driver of the team’s No. 58 Chevrolet Impala SS. The team’s season started at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway last month where a solid performance was overshadowed by an incident 36 laps from the end.
