NOLA Track Update
This week has been a busy one despite the downpour the area received on Tuesday night. The last lift of stabilization has been started on the North Track now - for those that read our guide to building your own track, you'll remember that this is the last big step before the asphalt goes down.
In building news, the base elevation for the shop space and garages at the edge of the autocross pad is being built and the pile driver is staged ready to get to work. The forms for the foundation speed shop are also being installed on this week - pilings were completed earlier this month.
Our lake continues to grow deeper and wider - looking forward to taking some laps on the track and then throwing out a line.
In this picture from January 4, 2011, you'll notice some additional clearing in the form of the South Track in this picture. While we did not plan on starting this until 2012, we've received such a great response that we began clearing it several weeks ago and look forward to its completion giving us a 5.37 mile circuit when run at full length -- the longest road course in North America and among the longest in the world.
Look for Us at World of Wheels
We will have a booth at World of Wheels on January 28-30 displaying some of our track vehicles, bikes and karts. Stop by and say hey!
