Conyers, Sept 13, 2009: Randy Meyer Racing Injected Nitro DragsterOlathe, KS. - Randy Meyer Racing with driver, Kate Harker made a nice showing at this past weekend MAC Tools US Nationals. The prestigious event was held at O'Reilly Raceway Park and saw some great racing action.
Twenty-six Top Alcohol Dragster teams entered for the event including driver, Kate Harker's identical twin sister, Diana driving their families blown Top Alcohol Dragster. Meyer and Harker made a short stop in St Louis for some pre-testing which showed good times and data preperation for the US Nationals. Harker made four consecutive passes that gave her good seat time and the team confidence coming into the event.
Meyer and Harker made a solid 5.31 seconds pass at 270mph in the second qualifying session to place the team in the 5th position at the end of qualifying. In round one of competition Meyer and Harker paired against Noah Condo. They got lucky on this run as Condo left too soon off the startling line and handed the win to Harker who drove Meyer's Injected Nitro dragster to a 5.42 seconds pass at 260 mph.
The second round of competition paired Meyer and Harker against Michael Manners. Harker was able to get a nice starting line advantage over Manners but was unable to hold him off at the finish line. Harker ran a good 5.39 seconds at 261mph in a trying effort.
"It feels like putting a comfortable pair of shoes on when getting behind the wheel of the Randy Meyer Racing Injected Nitro Dragster" comments Kate "Randy and his team are very professional to work with. I really enjoyed my time with them this weekend, we did get plagued by some technical issues bit were able to work past them as a team. I would like to thank Randy and Mary Meyer, their crew Dan Olsen, Scott Johnson and Matt Rhia for their effort and support this weekend. I very much look forward to having the opportunity to drive and work with Randy Meyer Racing in the near future."
Randy Meyer Racing will now travel on to Earlville, Iowa for the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event to be held at Tri-State Raceway across September 11-13. Dan Kracht will resume the driving duties on the Injected Nitro Dragster for the Meyer team.
