The ARCA RE/MAX Series held time trials late Friday afternoon into early evening under blistering cold temperatures in preparation for Saturday's Nashville ARCA 150, the third ARS (ARCA RE/MAX Series) event on the 2007 racing calendar.

DEXTER BEAN, NO. 6 FIVE STAR TELECOM CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO: Practice Time: 19th (30.048 seconds, 159.704 MPH) Qualifying Draw: 45/48 Qualifying Time: 30.163 seconds, 159.096 MPH Qualifying Position: 24 Starting Position: 24 "That wasn't exactly what we were looking for but we're in the show and we have a car to work with. I think the weather played havoc with qualifying. I cannot remember the last time I was qualifying and there were flurries all around the track, it was pretty wild. I think our No. 6 Chevrolet will go to the front on Saturday and we'll have a good finish."

DOMINICK CASOLA, NO. 1 NOS ENERGY DRINK, A. CASOLA FARMS FORD TAURUS: Practice Time: 37th (31.031 seconds, 154.645 MPH) Qualifying Draw: 19/48 Qualifying Time: 30.010 seconds, 159.907 MPH Qualifying Position: 20 Starting Position: 20 "This is awesome. I amaze myself. I didn't think we were going to qualify as well as we did, but my Andy Belmont Racing team didn't let me down. They put a great qualifying setup underneath our No. 1 NOS Energy Drink, A. Casola Farms Ford. Now we can look forward to the race."

ALEX GARCIA, NO. 94 DIXIEN, OMNISOURCE CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO Practice Time: 38th (31.374 seconds, 152.955 MPH) Qualifying Draw: 21/48 Qualifying Time: 32.668 seconds, 146.896 MPH Qualifying Position: 37 Starting Position: DNQ (Did Not Qualify) "I am disappointed and frustrated. I thought the car was going to be really good the way it turned into turn one, but then the car bottomed out really bad and it hurt both of our laps. We came here trying to make the race and we didn't. It's frustrating to say the least."

PHILLIP MCGILTON, NO. 47 SIPERFORMANCE-BREWCO MOTORSPORTS FORD FUSION Practice Time: 11th (29.810 seconds, 160.980 MPH) Qualifying Draw: 7/48 Qualifying Time: 30.050 seconds, 159.694 MPH Qualifying Position: 21 Starting Position: 21 NOTE: McGilton qualified in a backup motor after the team lost a primary motor when the belt came off the primary motor during a mock qualifying run in today's lone practice session preparing for qualifying. MCGILTON made one lap in qualifying. "We weren't allowed to take two laps because we missed our slot, but it's still a solid starting spot. It's much better than starting in the back. Again, I think our car is really good and we'll be a factor before the race concludes on Saturday."

BRYAN SILAS, NO. 11 NORTRAX-SHELL ROTELLA T FORD FUSION Practice Time: 20th (30.050 seconds, 159.694 MPH) Qualifying Draw: 27/48 Qualifying Time: 30.244 seconds, 158.669 MPH Qualifying Position: 25 Starting Position: 25 NOTE: Fast Track Racing has picked up Shell-Rotella T as a sponsor of his No. 11 Ford Fusion this weekend. The Nashville ARCA 150 will serve as the first of several races on the hood of the Stuart, Florida native's hood. Shell-Rotella T will be onboard for the remainder of the 21 ARCA RE/MAX Series races this season. "We slowed down, I wasn't expecting that. We still have a very good driving racecar. I don't think everyone expected the weather to change as dramatically as it did and I think that's why a lot of drivers slowed down from their practice efforts. It's a very short race, so we need to do everything we can to get to the front and stay there."

NICK TUCKER, NO. 48 FREEFEDS.org DODGE CHARGER Practice Time: 41st (33.665 seconds, 142.546 MPH) Qualifying Draw: 42/48 Qualifying Time: 31.784 seconds, 150.982 MPH Qualifying Position: 37 Starting Position: 39 (Provisional) NOTE: Tucker qualified in a backup motor during Friday's qualifying session. The team ran into mechanical failure with the primary motor during practice.

"We're in the show and that's the main thing. The oil pan was rubbing the track which I think caused our lap times to be slower than what they were. I have to give a lot of credit to my Carter-2-Motorsports team for rallying back and putting that motor together, we're just looking for a clean, solid finish on Saturday, I think we can accomplish that."

The Nashville ARCA 150 (113 laps/150 miles) is the third of 23 events on the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule. The event will take the green flag Saturday, April 7 shortly after 12:00pm Central Standard Time. The event will not be televised.
