Andretti Battles to Eighth-Place Finish at Nashville

Andretti Battles to Eighth-Place Finish in NYSE Car at Nashville

LEBANON, Tenn. (July 15, 2006) - Marco Andretti overcame an ill-handling car and managed a
hard-earned eighth-place finish in the #26 NYSE car Saturday night at the Firestone Indy 200 at Nashville
Superspeedway.
Andretti, starting the event from 18th place on the grid, found the balance of the car to be off from
the onset. Still, he managed to gain six places in the standings over the first 50 laps. He made his initial
pit stop on lap 59, giving the NYSE crew an opportunity to dial in the car. Unfortunately, Andretti fell off
the lead lap while making his stop. Nonetheless, with the NYSE car's handling improved, he moved into
the top-10 on lap 73 and continued moving forward. He gained ninth place on lap 174 and moved into his
finishing position of eighth place by lap 190.
Scott Dixon took the victory with Dan Wheldon second, Vitor Meira third, Danica Patrick fourth
and Helio Castroneves rounding out the top five.
Through nine events of the 2006 season, Andretti stands eighth in the driver point standings with
196 points and is just seven points shy of seventh place.
Next up for Andretti and the entire IndyCar Series will be the ABC Supply Co./A.J. Foyt 225 at
The Milwaukee Mile on Sunday, July 23. The event will be televised live by ESPN, beginning at 1:30 p.m.
(EDT). It can also be heard live by XM Satellite Radio subscribers by tuning into XM channel 145.

Marco Andretti, #26 NYSE Dallara/Honda/Firestone:
"It was another long night for the NYSE team. We missed the setup a little bit. It's funny because
we'll have a bad first stint or two, then we'll get the car dialed in but by then it's too late and we're a lap
down."

Kyle Moyer, General Manager, Andretti Green Racing:
"We didn't start out too well tonight and got a lap down, then just tried to work and work and work
to get back. I think if we hadn't gone a lap down early we would have finished pretty good because the
NYSE car really came alive at the end. The best thing was that Marco kept his head in the race and we
salvaged something out of nothing."
