AUTOGRAPH SESSION EXTRAVAGANZA TO HEADLINE MOPAR BIG BLOCK PARTY

Center Line, Mich. — Race fans will  have an opportunity to meet and greet 
more than twenty of the NHRA’s most  popular drivers during the Mopar Big Block 
Party in downtown Golden, Colo., on  Thursday, July 13. The official kickoff 
to the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals  event, the Mopar Big Block Party 
autograph session is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. MDT.  
Drivers and crew chiefs to  participate in the event include Tony Schumacher, 
 Melanie Troxel, Richard Hogan, Angelle Sampey, Antron Brown, Steve 
Tartaglia,  Gary Scelzi, Mike “Zippy�?? Neff, Ron Capps, Ace McCullough, Whit Bazemore, 
Todd  Okuhara, Mike Ashley, Brian Corradi, Richie Stevens Jr., David Nickens, 
Shaun  Carlson, Allen Johnson, Larry Morgan, V. Gaines, Erica Enders and Gene 
Wilson.  
Mopar will host an open press  conference on the stage from 6:15 p.m. to 6:30 
p.m. MDT, followed by a MoPowered  wedding. Newly ordained minister Gary 
Scelzi will lead a Mopar-crazed couple in  taking their vows, as Ron Capps and 
Angelle Sampey look on as the duo’s best man  and maid of honor.  
This year’s festivities will also be  caught on film, as “SpeedFreaks�?? will 
tape a live show from the event. Race fans  will have an opportunity to get up 
close and personal with Kenny Sargent, Crash  Gladys, Statt Mann and Lugg 
Nuttz of the Freak Nation.  
Headlining the entertainment for the  Mopar Big Block Party will be Chicago’s 
best cover band, Maggie Speaks. The  fabulous foursome of David Calzaretta, 
Blake Cooper, Shawn Sommer and Samir  Varma will again appear on Chi-town’s 
behalf, as their gigs have included the  coveted “Taste of Chicago�?? event. 
Featuring a play list that ranges from AC/DC  and Aerosmith, to Nelly and Matchbox 
20, partygoers are sure to find their  musical tastes covered by Maggie 
Speaks.  
The Mopar Big Block Party will kick  off at 6 p.m. MDT in downtown Golden, 
Colo., on Thursday, July 13. There is no  charge for admission.
