Jason Line qualifies Summit Pontiac No. 3

Chandler, Ariz. (February 25, 2006) - Jason Line, driver of one of the
two Pontiac GTOs fielded by KB Racing LLC and backed by Summit Racing
Equipment, qualified No. 3 on the final qualifying ladder for the NHRA
22nd edition of the Checker Schuck's Kragen National, being held this
weekend at Firebird International Raceway in Chandler, Ariz., near Phoenix.

Saving his best pass for last, Line set the pace when he reeled off a
run of 4.684 seconds at near 206 mph. On the opposite of the final
qualifying ladder from his teammate Greg Anderson, who qualified No. 1,
Line will meet Kurt Johnson in the opening round of tomorrow's
eliminations. KJ qualified 14th (6.723/206.23).

"We struggled a little bit this weekend," said Line, "but we put our
heads together and as a result corrected a few things in that final
pass. We knew we could go faster. We made some definite improvements
but we still should have more left for tomorrow. I guess the best news
is that Greg and I are on the opposite sides of the ladder."

Being on opposite sides of the ladder means if both Line and Anderson
should win their first three match ups, it would be an all KB Racing
team final round.

Line begins his quest for the Checker Schuck's Kragen Nationals Top Fuel
title on Sunday with eliminations for all classes beginning at 11 a.m.
All times are local Phoenix time (MST) and subject to change at anytime.
