Miller's Fall Classic and Candy Bowl Scheduled for SSP in October


NEWBERRYTOWN, PA  (October 6, 2005) – The  next event at SSP will be on 
Saturday, October 22 with the 2nd  Miller’s Racing Parts Fall Fest featuring 50-lap 
features for the Street Stocks,  Four Cylinder Stocks and Xtreme Stock Cars.  
There will also be a 15-lap Mini Van  Oval Race.  The Street Stock event  
will pay $3000 to the winner and is sponsored by Morgan’s Place Restaurant and  
Norm’s Tire & Auto.  The Four  Cylinder 50-lap feature event pays $1500 to win 
as the Xtreme Stock Car feature  pays $500 to win.  More than $16,650  in 
purse monies are posted for this prestigious stock car oriented event.  Entry fees 
are available by contacting  SSP at (717) 292-1696 or Miller’s Racing

Gates open in the  pit area and grandstands at 12:30  p.m.  Warm-ups  begin 
at 2:30  p.m. with racing  beginning promptly at 3:00  p.m.  Grandstand  ticket 
prices are Adults (18 & older) $12.00; Teens (13-17) $8.00; Children  (6-12) 
$4.00; and Children (5 & under) are free.  Pit pass prices are  $20.00 with a 
reduced price of $18.00 for all track licensee holders.  This event was 
originally scheduled for  Silver Spring Speedway and was moved due to a scheduling 
conflict.    
The Susquehanna Speedway Park is  located off I-83 to exit 32, then 1.4 miles 
NW on SR382 to York  Road,  then 1.3 miles south.  The speedway  website is

Time is a factor!  All cars must report to the grid area on  time for their 
races.  Late arrivals  may not be permitted on the track.  Please be early! 

SSP  News and Notes: 
- The SSP Haunted  Hayrides originally scheduled for October 14/15, October 
21/22 and October 28/29  have been cancelled.  
- “The Candy  Bowl�?? has been scheduled for Saturday, October 29 at 4:00  
p.m.  This event will feature the wingless  ARDC Midgets, 600cc Micro Sprints 
presented by J & K Salvage in York ($500  to win), Silver Springs Street Stocks 
($300 to win), Legends Cars ($200 to win),  Lincoln Thundercars ($250 to win), 
Mini Vans, W.O.W. (Women on Wheels) in both  Xtreme Stocks and School Buses, 
XSC Rookie Rumble.  The ARDC Midgets and 600cc Micro Sprints  will have 
qualifying races as well.  Heats may be run for the Silver Springs Street Stocks, 
Legends Cars and  Lincoln Thundercars if there are more than 24 entries, 
itherwise these divisions  will compete in longer feature events only.  After the 
event, all teams are  encouraged to stay for trick or treating in the pits with 
all kids in  costumes.  All kids in costumes will  be admitted free to the 
races.  There is no entry fee for any division competing at the Candy Bowl.  All 
entrants will register at the  speedway on the day of the event.

- On Saturday afternoon, November 19, the Susquehanna Speedway Park  will 
host the Turkey 200 Xtreme Stock Car Enduro race.  As a bonus attraction, the 
Great  American School Buses and Mini Vans will take to the track before the 200 
lap  Enduro event.  Fans will also be  given complimentary school bus rides 
around the track at 12:30  p.m.  The Enduro event will follow the  
specifications for the Xtreme Stock Car division that ran weekly at SSP during  the 2005 
season.  The purse payout  will be based on entry numbers and a payout can be 
found at the end of this  release.  
Pre-entry  for the event is encouraged but not mandatory.  A Pre-entry fee is 
$50.00 and must be  postmarked by Tuesday,  November 15, 2005.  All entries 
postmarked on or after November  16, 2005  will be $75.00.  Entries will be  
taken on the day of the event.  The  starting positions for the Turkey  200 will 
be aligned through a blind draw at the pit gate on the day of the  event.  As 
a special bonus, all  pre-entrants will be able to draw a second time for a 
starting position if he or  she does not like their first draw for position.  
However, the entrant must take the  second drawn spot regardless of whether or 
not it is a better starting  position.  Entry forms may be found  at

-  The opening night of racing for the 2006 season will be Thursday, April 13 
 featuring the 410 Sprint Cars, Xtreme Stock Cars and Legends Cars.  This 
event will be followed by the  beginning of weekly Friday night racing on April 
14 featuring the Trail Motors  Super Sportsman, Street Stocks and wingless ARDC 
Midgets.  The Late Models will open up their SSP  season on Friday, April 21 
with the first of 14 scheduled events at SSP in  2006.  The detailed 2006 
schedule of  eventsat the Susquehanna Speedway Park should be finalized and 
released by the  end of October.  The specification  rules for all competing 
divisions will be finalized and released in November or  early December at the 
latest.
