NHRA LUCAS OIL DRAG RACING SERIES - NORTHWEST DIVISION

PACIFIC RACEWAYS' NHRA LUCAS OIL DRAG RACING SERIES IN THE BOOKS

            KENT, Wash. - The Jet Chevrolet Lucas Oil Championships wrapped
up Sunday at Pacific Raceways.  The race was the third of seven Lucas Oil
Drag Racing Series events in the NHRA Northwest Division.  Racers from
across the division converged on the facility and eight champions were
crowned Sunday, and two were crowned on Saturday.

In Sunday's action, Prosser, Wash., racer Dennis Myers took the win in Comp
Eliminator and Troy Olsonawski of Federal Way, Wash., won in Super Stock.
Ryan McClanahan made the haul from Alta Loma, Calif., to earn the Stock
Eliminator win while Super Comp winner Mike Henderson made his way to Kent
from Tacoma, Wash.  Mike Ferderer, Buckly, Wash., won in Super Gas, Terry
Reed earned the Super Street trophy, and Marc Heritage won in Top Comp.
Both Reed and Heritage are from Spanaway, Wash.  Bellingham, Wash., resident
Anita Cunningham won in Sportsman Motorcycle.

            On Saturday night, defending division Top Alcohol Dragster
champion Steve Federlin of Oregon City, Ore., scored the win as did Clint
Thompson of Klamath Falls, Ore., in Top Alcohol Funny Car.

            Northwest Division racers head to Woodburn Dragstrip in
Woodburn, Ore., for the next NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event, July
8-10.
